Match Fishing

If you’re a dedicated matchman, or simply a pleasure angler who fancies chancing your arm against fellow members every now and then, Twyford & District Fishing Club offers a calendar of matches throughout the season. The majority of matches are fished between members and on our home waters – mainly the Thames and St. Patrick’s Stream, but we have a few away matches and visiting clubs as well.

There is an optional pool, but the emphasis is on members of all abilities enjoying some friendly competition. Points are awarded throughout the course of the match season with the winner picking up a trophy at the end of the season. In addition, there are several one-off cup competitions.
