After two years of restocking with Tench, Bream, and Crucian Carp, catches at the Decoy Pond have improved significantly in 2026. Float fishing with red maggots and groundbait has produced some excellent catches, including a number of quality Crucian Carp.

The stocked fish are showing impressive growth rates, and the work carried out by Swallowfield Angling Club to protect the fishery from otter predation and manage pike numbers has clearly paid off.

The Decoy Pond is free to fish for club members, but access is limited to five anglers per day. To guarantee your place, please book your session through Clubmate. Remember to print your email confirmation, as it also serves as your parking permit.
