Weather was mixed, blustery winds with some heavy showers, river had slowed a little considering all the rain during the week, the water was still coloured and required a larger float for better presentation.
Alan Bouttell (visiting Old Windsor AC) won the match with 8lb 5ozs, balled in ground bait and fished over the top on the pole catching some nice Dace, Roach and plenty of the hybrid skimmers which are showing this season.
Simon Hibbert was 2nd with 4lb 1oz fishing the pole over a bed of hemp and mainly caught the small hybrid skimmers
Next match is Sunday 18th July - Pole Trophy (pole/whip only match) - please book in 11am draw
